MENTORING SYSTEM

The department of Civil Engineering has an innovative process called Integrated Mentoring System through counseling book. The main aim is to initiate the students to the academic environment, guide, motivate and train all students achieve their goals. Mentoring will be effective when the teachers are committed and involved in their profession.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Mentors role includes assessing, guiding and advising the students towards their professional and personal development. Identifying student’s problem and finding solutions to solve them will be the core discussion in most of the mentor meetings. Frequently mentors should meet students one to one whenever necessary. Mentoring should bring change in the students by enhancing their capacity to learn and achieve their goals .Teachers in turn are benefited by mentoring as it gives them a thorough understanding of the difficulties faced by the students apart from giving them a sense of satisfaction and achievement in their career.
